Opoponax resin absolute from Kenya. Also known as sweet myrrh and bisabol myrrh.
Species: Commiphora erythraea Engler. Family: Burseraceae. Class: Sequiterpene.

Resembles myrhh in aroma, and is sweet. This is a great value. Opoponax absolute is very thick so a hot water bath for the bottle could help it pour. When burned as incense it produces a scent similar to balsam and lavender. Often used to extend myrrh oils.
Aromatherapy uses include treatments for asthma and respiratory infections. Opoponax absolute is used in some perfumes.
